MERIDIAN AUSTIN
Meridian is a more recently-built, master planned community that broke ground in 2005 in Southwest Austin. These homes are large brick, stone, and stucco houses, averaging over 3,800 square feet in size. Many of these homes have open floor plans with a gourmet kitchen, custom cabinets, media room, and large native oak trees shading the outside yard.
WHERE IS MERIDIAN?
The Meridian neighborhood is in Southwest Austin between RM 1826 and Toll Road 45. It is also close to Highway 290 and MoPac Expressway. This neighborhood is both 17 miles from McKinney Falls State Park while only 15 miles from Downtown Austin. Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is 15 miles from this neighborhood.
THINGS TO DO NEAR MERIDIAN
Amenities of the Meridian neighborhood include a pool, playground, pavilion, and Bear Lake, which covers ten acres at the center of Meridian homes. Residents are also within a short distance of the 450-acre, Circle C Metropolitan Park, in Southwest Austin. Shopping and dining are a short drive away at Escarpment Village, giving access to an HEB grocery, restaurants, banks, and the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema for entertainment.
SCHOOLS
Homes in this neighborhood belong to the Austin ISD. Students attend Baldwin Elementary (PK-5), Gorzycki Middle School (6-8), and Bowie High School (9-12). Private schools include Bannockburn Christian Academy (PK-5) and AESA Prep Academy (2-12).
