MUELLER AUSTIN

Built on the grounds of the old Austin Mueller Airport, located just three miles from downtown Austin, Mueller is perfectly positioned as an energetic new hub for central Austin.  It is a success story in revitalization that has attracted national attention for being a newer master-planned community that is thriving. Starting in 2007, the 700-acre site features a little of everything, from town homes, row houses, yard homes, as well as condo houses and rental apartments.  The attraction of this neighborhood is apparent in its unique charm. Housing density encourages pedestrian transit, and strict green housing guidelines are maintained throughout the residential and commercial core. With over one-hundred acres of open space and parkland, this close-knit community provides a diverse environment and plenty of neighborhood events for residents to enjoy.

WHERE IS MUELLER?

The neighborhood is just east of Interstate 35, with the north border at East 51st St., with Airport Blvd to the south.  It is less than nine miles from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, and just three miles to Downtown Austin.

THINGS TO DO NEAR MUELLER

All of these homes for sale benefit from being at the hub of a pedestrian community.  A weekly farmers market, many brick and mortar eateries, and an outdoor food court are a short walk from most homes.  Mueller is also the site of a children’s museum, The Thinkery.  And, not unique to Austin, there is a food trailer park within the neighborhood.  This area also boasts 400,000 square feet of retail shopping, where residents will find national retail stores as well as smaller local services.
